Job Description
The purpose of this position is to oversee college-wide policies and processes that ensure the ease of transfer both to and from St. Cloud Technical & Community College. This position has primary responsibility for managing the transfer evaluation policies, processes, and procedures. This position provides advising, training, and process guidance to students, program faculty, academic advisors and others on matters related to transfer issues and systems (ISRS, CollegeSource, etc.). This position will collaborate closely with the Registrar's functions as needed, including but not limited to Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) maintenance, student registration system edits, prerequisite coding, and campus registration events. This position will coordinate, operate, and make decisions based on college (and MinnState) procedures with minimal direction and supervision.
Salary Range:
$25.67 to $37.26
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in higher education. An Associate's degree could be substituted for 6-months of experience and a Bachelor's degree is 12-months.
Experience and knowledge of centralized student software systems such as ISRS, Workday or equivalent.
General knowledge of data privacy laws.
Specific professional and administrative skills to include critical thinking, problem solving, process planning and management, writing and editing, team building, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships with faculty, staff and students.
Ability to apply equity-minded practices to support the academic success and engagement of students from diverse backgrounds and with varied abilities and interests.
Physical Requirements
The essential physical functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:
Ability to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while performing computer?based tasks.
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and other standard office equipment with precision.
Ability to engage in tasks that require reviewing information on a screen for sustained periods
Ability to move about the office to retrieve files, access equipment, or meet with colleagues.
Ability to occasionally transport, or move files, office materials, or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds from various heights.
Ability to organize and handle documents that may require reaching, bending, or light filing.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor's Degree; or Three or more years of experience in higher education.
Extensive knowledge of college courses and programs including and understanding of course descriptions, syllabi, and other academic resources.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Bilingual/multilingual in Spanish, Somali, French, Hmong, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.
Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
