| Description: Collects and disposes of refuse across campus and performs miscellaneous manual labor. Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure. 1. Drives refuse truck; picks-up refuse and solid waste and dumps at designated off-site location. 2. Inspects refuse truck, which includes checking fluid levels, tires, brakes and lights. 3. Washes and cleans exterior and interior of refuse truck. 4. Cleans and inspects refuse containers across campus. 5. Cleans storage areas, work sites, loading docks and equipment as needed. 6. Moves and/or transports furniture, trash, debris, equipment, tools, etc. 7. Moves and assembles/disassembles chairs, tables, podiums, tents, scaffolding, etc. 8. May serve on special task force during periods of emergency, such as floods, hurricanes, etc., 9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. MQ: Education: Requires ability to read, write, add, subtract and follow oral and/or basic written instructions as might normally be acquired through 9 to 11 years of formal schooling. Experience: Requires a minimum of six (6) months of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: Requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Preferred: HAZMAT endorsement. |
