Position Information: UC Riverside's Housing Services is recruiting for Facility Operations Assistant. The full salary range for the Facility Operations Assistant is $29.35 - $42.06 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $32.18 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
The Facility Operations Assistant supports the daily functions of both Housing Services and Auxiliary Facilities through a shared reporting structure. This cross-functional role requires clear communication, strong organization, and the ability to manage priorities across both departments. Provides administrative support to both departments on scheduling, calendar management and organizational needs. Intakes, triages, creates, and follows up on student/customer work requests to ensure work order completion. In collaboration with Housing and Aux Facilities, creates and oversees housing turnover schedules, and quality control mechanisms. Serves as a resource for residents, staff, conference guests, visitors, vendors, strategic partners, and other campus departments by phone, e-mail, and in-person. Maintains compliance with various safety inspections and other reporting/record-keeping requirements; organizes records, files, and departmental logs. Provides backup support to other departments Operations Assistant.
Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.

Bachelor's degree or education equivalent to college level coursework in a related field.

Notify Senior Housing Operations Manager (Sr. HOM) and Aux Facilities Customer Service Manager (CSM) of any trends or discrepancies. Coordinates residential facility access, conducts regular inventory of keys and card access. Interprets and enforces access control policies and procedures for the community. Serves as liaison and access control point between Housing Services, service providers, Residential Education, maintenance, custodial, pest control and other external vendors. Track the progress of assigned work orders, proactively following up with staff and supervisors to ensure timely completion and adherence to departmental quality standards.

Provides general administrative support to the Sr. HOM and CSM, helping with day-to-day tasks, processes, and communication to meet resident needs. Helps share updates about operational needs and supports simple, cost-effective solutions.

Assists with common residential issues and supports procedure documentation and calendars.
