Rural Electric Supply Cooperative (RESCO), is a wholesale distributor of high voltage electrical products. As a member-owned organization, we provide electric cooperatives and utilities in the Upper Midwest with competitive pricing, delivery and support for their electrical supply needs. We are a mid-size organization with under 100 employees in eight states and are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team. This position will manage and help perform day to day operations at our Moorhead, Minnesota location, but will also oversee the warehouse operations in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Responsibilities include:
Oversight of all warehouse locations to include the following:
Help ensure efficient material management in the warehouses and assist with solutions to problems as they arise.
Help drive consistency on day-to-day operations across locations leveraging best practices.
Ensure inspection of the physical condition of the warehouse, equipment and trucks are being done and necessary repairs and maintenance are being completed.
Monitor inventory levels across locations.
File IFTA reports on a quarterly basis.
Responsible for compliance with OSHA and DOT rules and regulations as well as any state laws.
Manage fleet of trucks and driver software to ensure proper maintenance and safety regulations are being followed.
Supervise warehouse staff to include hiring, training and coaching.
Travel to other warehouse locations on an as needed basis.
Manage day to day operations of the Minnesota warehouse to include:
Assist with shipping and receiving as necessary.
Responsible for delivery schedules ensuring customers receive products on time.
Negotiate and maintain pricing agreements with freight carriers.
Hire specialized carriers for transportation of products as needs arise.
Manage acceptable solutions to problems with inbound and outbound shipments.
File damage claims with carriers and negotiate settlements as required.
Ensure all data is entered into the computer system in a timely manner.
Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
The successful candidate will have five plus years of warehouse experience. Other qualifications include:
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and best practices
Strong communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations
Ability to operate and pass certification for forklifts
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to lift and move up to 70lbs
Ability to stand and work on concrete floors for extended periods of time
Ability to climb, reach, bend and kneel
Ability to carry, push, pull and handle products
Ability to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas
