Job Summary: | As the Organizational Development Specialist with the WCWPDS, you will be joining a group of dedicated professionals who work together to advance high-quality, innovative learning for public child welfare professionals and caregivers across Wisconsin. The Organizational Development Specialist will serve as a leader in quality improvement and organizational development throughout Wisconsin's Child Welfare Professional Development training system. This person will be responsible for working with organizational leaders, staff, and administrative units throughout the state to help them address complex organizational challenges. The Organizational Development Specialist will work independently and as part of a team in applying approaches, methods, and strategies that lead organizations through a change process. As a member of a work team, the Organizational Development Specialist must be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities: | Organizes the development and delivery of outreach programs, including the responsibility for staffing. Assists with policy development and organizes resources to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. - 75% Directs the implementation of program policies and procedures
- 15% Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program
- 5% Schedules and secures logistics and resources in support of an outreach program
- 5% Identifies opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development

Education: | Required Bachelor's Degree; preferred fields include Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Human Ecology, Education, Business, or related degree. |
Qualifications: | Required Qualifications: - Applicants must have demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills and practical knowledge and application of methods and metrics that help groups address complex organizational challenges. - Demonstrated organizational development skills with experience facilitating groups through a change process. - Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, draw conclusions and utilize that information in creating a change process for diverse groups. - Demonstrated ability to relate and work well with stakeholders and diverse groups from across all levels of an organization. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to actively listen. - Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work while balancing multiple priorities and managing deadlines. - Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft word and internet-based tools. - Ability to obtain or currently holds a valid Wisconsin driver's license and access to reliable transportation for required travel.
Desired Qualifications: - Working knowledge of organizational improvement models (Lean, Six Sigma, OCM, etc.) and background in child welfare/human services preferred. - Certification in quality/organizational improvement or change management a plus. - Experience in organizational development, specifically in strategic planning and/or process improvement, is desired. - Substantial content knowledge in the areas of change management, organizational improvement, project management, customer service skills, and continuous quality improvement tools. - Experience in the development and delivery of resources for child welfare professionals preferred. - Knowledge of adult learning concepts and methodologies as applied to non-degree seeking professional adult learners. - Strong verbal presentation and group facilitation skills. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams in a highly collaborative, inclusive environment, with diverse individuals, groups and stakeholders from across all levels of an organization. - Demonstrated ability to work independently. |

Salary: | Minimum $48,107 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications The typical starting salary for this position is $48,107 - $68,793 depending on qualifications and experience.
