Position Information Under the general direction of the Executive Director and/or the Budget Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst II applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve various issues. Works on problems of limited to moderate scope conducting analysis of situations or data to help campus leadership make informed data-driven decisions. As part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, this position performs various analyses related to organizational budgets, revenue and expenditures, forecasts and projections while partnering with the senior FP&A team to ensure that UCR resources are effectively and efficiently utilized to move the university mission forward.

The full salary range for the Financial Analyst II is $59,000.00 - $103,400.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Minimum Requirements Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills. Ability to function as a member of a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information, organizes, and performs basic financial analysis assignments. Some knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
