EVO is in search of someone who has experience building a successful network of strategic customers to build our dedicated services, truckload volume and profitability within our service area.
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for aggressively developing and executing prospecting plans that will lead to successful signing of new business contracts. This role will act as a truckload consultant establishing credibility with prospects through an understanding of their business issues and presenting logical, economically beneficial truckload solutions.
Job Summary
Develop and maintain client relationships by providing transportation solutions and outstanding customer service. Responsible for sales of a variety of truckload services – including dedicated services, local truckload, regional truckload and brokerage services to new and existing clients striving to meet and exceed established sales goals. The ideal candidate will have a track record of sales success with in-depth transportation and logistics knowledge.
We are in search of someone eager to build a strong company through strategic and controlled growth. For this reason, the ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of truckload operations as well as broker operations and be available to offer sound input and improvement as we expand.
Having a consistent book of business and strong customer network is essential for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Open new accounts for EVO through your existing network connections.
Generate business leads using a variety of effective prospecting strategies.
Build and maintain ongoing relationships with new and existing customers to increase business revenue/profitability.
Act as customer consultant and liaison so that we may provide superior customer service.
Assist with quoting and negotiating pricing and respond to customer requests for information and pricing.
Develop and customize sales proposals that stand out. Proposals shall commit appropriate transportation resources to meet customer needs.
Prepare weekly sales reports and present findings and analysis to senior management. Inform senior management of any customer changes, discrepancies or issues that affect operations and ability to meet sales goals.
Handle incoming communication from customers and be a valuable resource for problem resolution, load tracking and collection on invoices.
Frequent travel is essential in order to prospect and develop solid relationships with customers.
