This position reports to UCSF Facilities Services, and will report to the Assistant Superintendent of Custodial Services. The incumbent cleans both internal and external spaces within office buildings and housing. Loads and unloads trash receptacles, drivers totter, collects and transports recyclable materials. The incumbent will fill soap and towel dispensers, report any building equipment and supply needs, ensures the security of assigned spaces, performs specialized cleaning in laboratory and medical spaces, and moves, sets up, and takes down furniture and appliances as required.FS participates in system-wide Principles of Community and all FS leaders are expected to create a fair, equitable, safe and supportive work environment, where everyone can do their best work. In addition, senior custodians may be required to travel on Tuesdays and Thursdays to service the Morgan House, which transportation will be provided. These details include: high and low dusting, using a dust/wet floor map, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen counters, sink, range and cleaning windows no taller than 12 ft.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
