Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Pallet Jack Operator contributes to efficiently operating the recycling and waste disposal processes. As a Pallet Jack Operator, you will be primarily responsible for safely moving recycling materials and trash using pallet jacks within our warehouse facility. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to workplace safety will be vital in ensuring the smooth flow of operations.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Safely and efficiently operate pallet jacks to move recycling materials and trash within the warehouse premises.
* Collect and transport recycling bins, trash containers, and other waste receptacles to designated disposal areas.
* Sort and separate different recyclable materials for appropriate disposal or recycling.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on pallet jacks and report any malfunctions or damages to the supervisor.
* Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse area, including disposal areas and storage spaces.
* Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely collection and disposal of recycling materials and trash.
* Comply with company policies and procedures related to waste disposal and recycling practices.
* Assist in loading and unloading trucks, as needed, using the pallet jack.
* Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid certification or training in pallet jack operation.
* Proven experience as a pallet jack operator or in a similar role.
* Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
* Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail and ability to differentiate between various recyclable materials.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Physical Demands:
An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain stationary (sit or stand) 85% of the time, use hands to operate machinery, and be required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

WAGES: $15.00 -$ 17.00 depending on shift
Four shifts are available:
1. Sunday - Wednesday, 7 am-5:30 pm
2. Sunday - Wednesday, 6 pm-4:30 am
3. Wednesday - Saturday, 7 am-5:30 pm
