Khoury College of Computer Sciences seeks an energetic and creative individual to serve as the Director of Graduate Admissions. Reporting to Assistant Dean of Graduate Administration, this position will oversee admissions and be responsible for data-driven, strategic management of Khoury College's graduate portfolio of certificate, masters and PhD programs.
The Director will ensure admissions operations and review processes run smoothly. This position will manage application cycle prep, design, and create reports to support admissions, scholarship, and enrollment activities. The Director will work with the recruitment team in planning and executing admissions information sessions and enrollment events as needed. The Director will work collaboratively with key stakeholders on analysis and admission decisioning for the global campus network to meet or exceed enrollment targets. The Director will work with the recruitment team to oversee the achievement of goals. The Director will build on functionality in Slate to manage effective communications in coordination with the admissions, recruitment, and advising teams.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Manage two direct reports (Admissions Officers). Provide mentorship and support to enable career growth and development of team members. Hire and manage temporary seasonal readers.
Strategy: Create and execute admission plans to meet enrollment goals through Slate.
Admissions: Oversee admissions process and decisions, read and assess applications, make decisions and scholarship recommendations, plan and execute yield events, develop and implement communication plans for applicants. Prepare regular reports for the Assistant Dean for Graduate Administration on admissions and enrollment progress. Assist with admissions policies, procedures and programs on enrollment goals across the network.
Data Administration: Manage the admissions and enrollment data collection and updating to effectively track student progress at the MS and PhD level. Coordinate data collection, reporting and analysis to support and inform planning and assessment of graduate programs/admissions.
Other: Work on special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, MS preferred or graduate degree in higher education administration. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in admissions with preference given to candidates who have experience in graduate admissions (Certificate, MS and PhD). One year or more of experience with Technolutions Slate admissions platform is preferred. The Candidate needs to demonstrate a professional presence and maturity in dealing with a variety of audiences, external and internal to the university. Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and communication skills are critical for success. Expertise in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, database management and other technological support resources. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and customer-management platforms such as Salesforce is desirable. Ability to synthesize and interpret data to inform decision-making on admissions.
Strong project management/organizational skills with attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple requests from demanding constituencies with excellent time management skills. Supervisory experience required, as is strong team building skills. Creative, strong problem solving and technical skills. A sense of humor, positive can-do attitude, flexibility, initiative, and ability to function effectively as a team member.
