Wittenberg University is seeking Student Employment & Career Operations Coordinator. The Coordinator supports the day to day processes, operations, and programming for the student employment program and office of career development and professional advising. With a focus on student-centered process and support the coordinator works as part of a team committed to student outcomes and vocation exploration. This is a 12-month, non-exempt-level position.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Student Employment
Provide administrative and general support for all student employment program and process lifecycle from recruitment strategy to employment end.
Monitor student employment departmental allocations and ensure usage. Follow up as discrepancies arise.
Promote opportunities including placement of students into jobs through application, evaluation, and hiring processes.
Organize plan and implement any associated events.
Input all data related to student employment program and analyze or report out as needed.
Provide ongoing communication and serve as a liaison with both on-campus and off-campus partners.
Career Operations
Provide operational and administrative support for the Office of Career Engagement and Professional Development.
Serve as the department administrator for Handshake, NetworkWitt, and PathwayU.
Collaborate with IT as necessary to coordinate management of systems and data including supporting the creation, access, and dissemination of reports and information to equip department and offices with data and other information needs.
Maintain office website, applicable web pages and career services email listserv by responding to email communication timely and professionally.
Coordinate scheduling and operations for office programs including but not limited to career cluster programs, networking events, employer recruiting events, and collaborative programs.
Schedule office programs and events through 25Live.
Coordinate and provide support with budgets, purchasing cards, scheduling and calendars, and applicable reports.
Troubleshoot concerns and inquiries by alumni, parents, students, and employers.
Coordinate marketing for the office within brand.
Support the administration of post-graduate survey collection including but not limited to the First Destination Survey, National Alumni Career Mobility Survey, and other tools.
Assist with the management of relevant employers and graduate schools as needed.
Hire, train, and supervise student employees for the office.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned such as special projects, programs, developmental activities, etc.
Job Requirements:
Requirements include:
A bachelor's degree is required.
1 - 3 years of work experience is required.
Competency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
Experience using databases or platforms.
Experience managing processes in a detail-oriented and compliance-focused manner is preferred.
Detail and customer service oriented.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to engage professionally with a variety of audiences.
Remain stationary for extended periods (up to 50% of the work day).
Routinely move and transport equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
Potential for working evening and/or weekend hours with advanced coordination.
