The Housekeeper is in regular and ongoing contact with teachers, students, children and families and is a valued and integral member of the Children's School community. Routine housekeeping duties to maintain the classrooms and common areas in an attractive, clean, orderly and secure condition.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Laundry, dishwashing, light housekeeping including sweeping, dusting and cleaning surfaces and windows for the three programs for the Infant Toddler, Preschool, and Elementary programs.
Education and Training:
One year experience as a housekeeper.
Ability to communicate effectively, in English, with teachers, students, children and families.
Requires fingerprinting/background check clearance and tuberculosis clearance.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to push and lift the weight of a commercial vacuum cleaner.
Must be able to reach, bend and stoop to clean, with applicable cleaning tools, from floor
to home ceiling height. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands or arms; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
