All Saints’ Episcopal School is seeking an experienced, motivated, energetic individual to join the Maintenance department. The Maintenance staff performs custodial, maintenance and operations support tasks that ensure the support, care and upkeep of school property and supports the school community.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Position Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Facilities
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Ensures highest level of support to every School Division, staff member, faculty member, and other contacts
Ensures every School Division, staff member, faculty member, and other contacts are treated with the utmost respect
Self-dispatch and/or at request of supervisor(s), to facilities to diagnose/repair/engage vendor to repair various mechanical and system issues, including plumbing, roof, doors, electrical, HVAC and other similar systems
Ability to repair sheetrock wall, paint, install baseboards, and replace ceiling tile
Knowledge of repairing/adjusting door closers, replace passage and locksets
Responds to and takes appropriate actions in the event of emergency or critical incidents to resolve, confine or prevent potentially injurious or hazardous conditions
Coordinates or arrange vendors to maintain facilities as needed for repairs and other upkeep
Work as part of on-call rotation (typically one week on call and several weeks off) as needed, which will include occasional evenings/weekends when must be available by phone and able to respond to emergencies (flooding, fire, power outages, etc.)
Troubleshoot issues to determine if problem can be fixed or requires third-party vendor
Work with existing maintenance, construction, IT, security, and other staff
Participate as directed with preventive maintenance plans
Performs package and mail delivery to designated locations on campus
Assist in setup for school events and meetings or as needed
Ability to review, respond, and update work orders via computer and/or cell phone
Assist with monitoring supplies and maintain proper level of stock and inventory
Operates various electrical, battery, gas, and manually powered tools and equipment

Must have at least 2 years as a full-time hands-on facility maintenance worker
Must have reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Must be able to work overtime

Ability to meet changing priorities and short turnaround requests
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
Knowledge of OSHA requirements and the ability to follow those guidelines

Must be willing and able to learn new skills and accept training
Ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues
