Position Purpose
This position focuses efforts on increasing support for the university by developing prospective donor relationships and moving these relationships through the donor continuum to gift conversion. This role collaborates with Major Gift Officers and other front line fundraisers to manage, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation donor prospects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Frontline Fundraising
•Identifies and cultivates new prospective donors, develops relationships and moves through the donor continuum to gift conversion.
•Builds and sustains long-term partnerships and trust while aligning donor passion and goals with those of the school/college.
•In collaboration with Major Gift Officers, manages a portfolio of prospects.
•Works with Advancement teams, across the university to conceptualize, develop and plan strategies for activities and special events for qualification and solicitation efforts.
•Coordinates campaigns for strategic constituent groups.
•Prepare, review and edit all materials needed to secure and steward gifts.
•Ensure accurate and complete record-keeping and associated donor acknowledgments.
•Represents university at events or professional functions, as appropriate.
•Collaborates with Advancement team to plan for engagement and fundraising strategies.
•Support marketing/communications efforts by developing marketing materials. Edit and proofread information, as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in Advancement/Development or a related field.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Demonstrated strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for correspondence, special reports, spreadsheets, databases, forms, etc.
•Knowledge of alumni relations/development/advancement principles.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

•Cubicle/Open workspace environment which may result in additional or higher levels of noise and visual distractions.
•Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as necessary, on short or limited notice.
•Must have regular and reliable transportation for local travel and willing to travel when necessary. Frequent local travel expected.
