We are looking to hire a Partnerships and Product Strategy Lead for the 5G Labs at Verizon. 5G will have a massive impact on how we live, learn, work and play, enabling disruptive new consumer experiences and enterprise products. The 5G Labs is the innovation and incubation arm of Verizon. The 5G Labs is transforming the future of retail, commerce, manufacturing, healthcare, gaming and more by exploring and incubating companies and products powered by our 5G network and Multi-Access Edge Computing.

The Partnerships and Product Strategy Lead will be responsible for driving end-to-end incubation and co-creation of next-generation businesses and products, from initial research (market research, market sizing, competitive analysis, customer research) and ideation to concept design and execution. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative role, working across internal business units and external partners to scope workstreams, objectives and deliverables. The Partnerships and Product Strategy Lead will also be responsible for packaging and reporting insights and milestones to leadership, serving as a bridge and strategic thought leader across the organization.
- Drive end-to-end incubation and co-creation of next-generation businesses and products, from initial research (market research, market sizing, competitive analysis, customer research) and ideation to concept design and execution.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables and roadmap across workstreams in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage timelines, outputs, and stakeholder expectations throughout the process.
- Support and accelerate execution of internal and external strategic initiatives, managing a cross-functional team to ensure effective governance, communication, reporting and implementation.
- Develop creative ideas and solutions based on industry research and consumer insights to formulate thinking for new products or improve existing products/product performance.
- Package and report insights and milestones for stakeholders across business units and leadership.
- Collaborate closely with the product, network, business analytics, corporate strategy, marketing and sales team to formulate hypotheses, define experiments and business requirements.
- Support delivery of actionable recommendations to senior leadership through research, experimentation and analysis for executive decision making.
- Build financial models to support overall strategic planning and prioritization.
- Contribute to a high-performing team of problem solvers from various disciplines who are committed to driving profitable growth & innovation across the company.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
- This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working in product/project management experience.
- Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
- A Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience in management consulting or strategy.
- Successful track record of owning a complex product or project and consistently delivering on OKRs.
- Structured thinkers, with strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills, and ability to work in fast-moving organizations with rapidly changing priorities.
- Excitement for 5G and general understanding of 5G technology.
- Knowledge of at least one of the key industries that 5G is likely to disrupt (e.g. retail, commerce, immersive entertainment, venue-based experiences, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, etc.).
- Passion for technology and good understanding of current technology landscape, in particular startups and emerging technologies that will benefit from 5G connectivity.
- Demonstrate a high amount of empathy, responsibility, coupled with a deep sense of ownership and personal accountability.
- Experience working on launching new products or ventures.
