The Transportation and SRM Manager is responsible for leading all Supplier Relationship Management activities including Carrier Sourcing, RFP/RFQ management and Carrier Business Review execution for the Wine & Spirits Division. This role is accountable for leading strategic transportation Initiatives that will optimize business processes within the supply chain. This includes delivering broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems and defining new business opportunities that will improve service to our distributors and customers.
Lead contract negotiations that deliver a âWin/Winâ outcome for our strategic partners and Constellation Brands, Inc.
Lead /Execute RFP/RFQ execution leveraging the 7 Step Sourcing Process
Lead / Execute strategic carrier sourcing partnerships that will deliver long term operational effectiveness for Constellation Brands, Inc.
Execute strategic initiatives in alignment with corporate goals to improve service levels, reduce costs, and implement change that will continuously improve overall performance
Lead SRM /Vendor Management Processes for Domestic Transportation business
Carrier Business Review Management
Lead contract and Carrier rate negotiation
Execute strategic analysis to identify cost savings opportunities and reduce our cost to serve
Management of rates and capacity â domestic, intercompany, and bulk freight
Ensuring correct and approved rates and schedules are in JDA for freight moves
Secure capacity as needed - maintain visibility for carriers of CBI freight requirements
Provide equipment availability and carrier management updates to shipping locations/customer service as needed
Review and monitor for extreme weather conditions, implement weather procedures with shipping facilities and carriers. Inform internal business partners of impact (CSS, Shipping Facilities, Sales, Finance)
Carrier Performance Reports/Updates. Maintain carrier on-time pick up performance.
Support IT and other internal business partners as needed on TMS system issues relating to freight/order processing
Capture the reason and trouble shoot situations to reduce the number of bulk freight routing errors in both JDA and the Wine System
Capture and Report reason codes in TMS for alternate carrier usage, light shipping, weather protection, quality, and on-time order metrics
Manage carrier freight awards and accessorial policy
Support freight to customer budget preparation
Create monthly reports on freight to customer budget, (i.e. Variance, accessorial charge, non-awarded carrier usage.)
Management of pool (Milk Runs) process/policy with Customer Service
Peak season and quarter end reporting for carriers and CBI shipping facilities regarding shipment volume and capacity. Load leveling management of shipments for shipping facilities and distributors during peak shipping times.
Provide documentation and information as required/requested to corporate auditors
Month end close support â TMS
Support Acquisition Integrations
Partner with Sr.Transportation & Logistics Director in the development of performance measures and robust management routines for carriers and maintain total ownership of all aspects of non-primary carrier spending.
Partner with Legal to ensure carrier contract Compliance and Governance
Directly and through matrix organization identify risk and establish continuity plans to ensure sustainable continuity of quality supply of finished goods to customers.
Establishing a rigorous operating rhythm internally and with strategic partners
In collaboration with legal, security, and sustainability teams establish processes and measures to monitor all regulatory, governmental, and environmental standards
Bachelorâs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years process management experience
Strong written, analytical, verbal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strategic Supplier Sourcing
ERP & TMS Experience (SAP preferred)
Technical â all Microsoft Office Applications
