Required Qualifications: As per Civil Service standards and specifications. Must be able to move heavy objects. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid Class B NYS Driver's License (CDL). In addition, must participate in the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (drug and alcohol testing) as required; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. Brief Description of Duties: The Motor Vehicle Operator will prepare supply requests and drive motor vehicles in order to transport scheduled deliveries. Duties to include the following:
Perform deliveries and pickups of various materials throughout the campus.
Schedule and execute deliveries of prepared supply orders.
Prepare supply requests by pulling inventory according to work order.
Service window customers in a timely, accurate and professional manner by providing requested inventory utilizing bar code scanners and computerized inventory program.
Load, unload and physically handle equipment, furniture, supplies, etc, by operating pallet jacks, forklifts, motor vehicles in a safe manner.
Perform routine daily cycle counts of inventory and assist with annual physical inventory count
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Mandatory rehire roster candidates have preference.
