South Central Indiana REMC (SCI REMC) is an innovative, not-for-profit electric and broadband distribution system, who is a member-owned cooperative and focused on offering life-enhancing services to its members.
The cooperative is a leader in electric distribution technology and is headquartered in a new and progressive facility in Martinsville, Indiana. SCI REMC serves seven counties including Morgan, Monroe, Owen, Brown, Johnson, Putnam, and Clay with over 3,650 miles of energized lines and 33,905 meters serving 29,100 members.
The Fiber Division of SCI REMC offers quality broadband services to homes and businesses plus fiber transport systems to ensure a reliable network service with a high level of member/subscriber experience satisfaction. The fiber optic distribution project is fast moving with nearly 6,000 residential members connected in the first two years and continues to grow quickly.
SCI REMC is looking for a Process Data Analyst. The best candidates will have strong data analytical skills, respectful team player with a collaborating mind-set, and strong business, process improvement sense with a proven track record.
This key position’s general responsibilities include:
Under supervision, analyze and interpret results of data analysis throughout the organization and provide suggestions for improvement.
Provide analytical support to team members as requested or as identified as an area of improvement.
Work alongside of leaders and stakeholders to understand goals and objectives of complex information systems and provide clear and precise insight based on data analysis to assist management with their decision making.
Works closely with departmental staff and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and effective processes are successfully implemented.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICTIONS -
Associates degree in an IT or business technical related field or equivalent required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Certification in data analytics or process improvement is preferred.
Minimum of three years hands-on, demonstrated working experience with process improvement, data analytics with prove results. General knowledge of IT concepts. Five years preferred. Knowledge of tools like Tableau, MS SQL, Python, PowerShell, MS Office, etc. is a plus.
Must possess advanced computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new software applications quickly and apply experience related knowledge to new systems.
Experience and capable of performing data analysis and data cleansing to improve data integrity.
Experience and capability to extract, interrupt and offer data visibility options, such as dashboards, etc.
Must have demonstrated advanced knowledge of computer operating systems and databases (i.e., Microsoft Windows 10, Linux, Oracle, Access)
Must be capable of assessing needs and identifying process improvement or development with data analytics.
Ability to build rapport and relationships across department lines to effectively communicate software changes and offer basic training to ensure effective use of system improvements.
Must have very good organizational and self-motivational skills.
Must be able to work independently and make decisions consistent with the position.
Strong interest and ability to learn new methods, processes, and tools.
Ability to work independently with little formal supervision.
Ability to work and build relationships with third party companies.
Must be regular in work attendance.
