Administrative Assistant II - Community-Based Learning

Provides administrative support to the Office of Community-Based Learning. Supervises car and bike rentals for students, faculty, and staff engaging in off-campus learning and serving activities. Assists in the administration of GivePulse, an online interactive database of volunteer and organizational opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of three years of relevant experience required as well as aptitude and experience using personal computers and the Internet. Excellent typing skills required. Knowledge of or ability to learn a variety of software programs, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, FrontPage and Colleague is essential. Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, and strong interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent proofreading, grammar and spelling skills. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Previous experience in an academic setting preferred. Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work. Work Schedule: This is a 10 month, part-time position with partial benefits. The schedule will be Monday - Friday 25 hours a week as determined with the supervisor. Benefit Eligible FLSA: Non-Exempt Weekly Hours: 25 Minimum Pay: $18.84. Pay commensurate with experience.
