-Use the radio to direct supervisors for LTO moves, selector activity, loader activity or anything else to ensure a route will be worked in a timely manner.
-Contact transportation when routes have been closed and paperwork has been finished.
-Contact the spotters for trailer counts and needed moves of trailers to doors.
-When needed, perform all job responsibilities of equipment room personnel.
-Use the intercom system to page individuals when requested by operations.
-Associates must be willing to:
-Work any shift and any schedule as needed
-Learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
-Lead by example at all times
-Work as a member of a team, accomplish team goals and operational objectives
-Maintain professionalism with management and co-workers.
-Must have computer skills
-At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience required
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
-Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
-Flexible to work overtime preferred
-Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
