Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology for the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the RWJMS Program Director, the Student Assistant assist with duties relative to the Anatomical Association.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Maintains and repairs as necessary all standard laboratory equipment, e.g., pumps, racks, tables’ mechanical lifts.
Designs, procures, and assembles laboratory apparatuses for biological and chemical projects.
Places selected cadavers on tables and/or in caskets.
Moves caskets to RWJMS vehicle in preparation for transportation.
Cleans anatomy lab cadaver trays and appropriate equipment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Must be a Rutgers student. Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate or currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to follow detailed laboratory instructions.
Maintains working area as per Program Director specifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift equipment, cadavers and carry boxes. Individual has to be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
