A Penske Logistics Customer Service Associate assigned to work in the PL Sourcing Carrier Contracting and Compliance Group, monitors carriers required to sign revised contract documents in both instances of RMIS systems. Manage the daily review of Registry Monitoring Insurance System (RMIS) carrier reports reflecting the carrier status if they are qualified to move freight for Penske Logistics and determine next steps to avoid liability risk. Clerical related responsibilities. Candidate will assist in assigned tasks for special projects. Candidate must have proven communication skills preferably bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
Use RMIS System and related reports to determine if a carrier needs to be placed on hold in JDA/TM and reporting if the action(s) taken to the PL Sourcing Transportation Specialists and Area Managers.
Daily phone communication with carriers to discuss their non-compliance issues to include and but not limited to: missing signed contract documents, non-response to RMIS to provide updated Certificate of Insurance, validation if the carrier is still in business, answering Carrier Contracting and Compliance questions.
First point of contact for answering 800# Carrier Line â€" phone calls from Carriers and Penske associates.
CT-PAT report data received from internal PL Safety team â€" update RMIS System with CT-PAT Status.
Enter data received from PTL Marketing â€" Update RMIS system with PTL ID #.
Upload .PDF contract files into PaperVision when completed outside of the RMIS process.
Filing Contract Documents.
After a review of the RMIS system, work with the Sr. Carrier Contract Analyst or Carrier Contracting and Compliance Manager to determine if a carrier needs to be removed from the system.
Mass carrier communication-mailing projects that require per our Penske Contracts the mailing is completed as certified mail or FedEx.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager.
At least 1 year of customer service experience required.
Bachelorâ€™s Degree or some college preferred but not required / High school diploma or equivalent necessary.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment.
Computer skills including Excel and Outlook required.
Must also be able to learn the Penske Transportation systems & applications.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
Project work on occasion may include being able to work beyond the hours of 8am to 5pm EST.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
