Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, email and other computer-based communication platforms.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, spend much of shift on feet and moving throughout the facility.
Capacity to take on additional responsibilities over time, including: budget preparation and management, capital improvement planning, vendor procurement and management, and compliance.
5+ years of progressively responsible experience plus a B.A. or equivalent is required. Candidates must be committed to the Academy’s Statement of Faith and Standards for Christian Living, love kids, and embrace the school’s mission.
Facilities Repair, Maintenance & Support
Daily maintenance, repair, replacement and general upkeep of the Academy’s physical plant and grounds.
Systematic visual inspection of facilities to identify safety, structural, or mechanical issues.
Point of contact for all facility needs during shift hours (including indoor sports).
Stock, monitor, and order custodial supplies and cleaning products as needed.
Assist in the development and execution of a facilities management and maintenance plan.
Facility Setups and Cleanup
Assemblies, meetings, and all other school events
Monitor outside rentals of Academy building and/or facilities
Organize police details, both daily and for major events
Ensure general upkeep of Academy vehicles
Oversee organization of both on-site and off-site parking for events
Oversee bus ordering as needed for field trips, class trips, etc.
Assist Facilities Manager to research, recommend and oversee building improvement projects
Monitor performance of outsourced cleaning and other services
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
Monday through Friday, hours TBD. Facilities staff need to be present in the building between
7am and 10pm, so hours of facilities staff are staggered. Ability to work evening hours.
On call via cell phone to respond to building emergencies
Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities

Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time, 12-month position. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.
