This is your chance to pass on your knowledge and help others become professional truck drivers. Must have patience and great communication skills to be able to pass on your professional knowledge to future drivers. Home daily and hourly wage. This is a part time position teaching the classroom portion on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays 6:00pm - 8:30pm in 3-4 classes per year or teaching hands on Driving Skills 2-3 times per week. Driving skills include Alley Dock, Crossover backing, Parallel Parking, Pre-Trip Inspection, Air Brake Check, Shifting, etc. so that students can pass the driven test at the end of the class. Each class is 6 weeks long with about 5 weeks break between each class. Could also include taking on ensuring the trucks are kept up to date on the 90 day inspections.
Requires the following:
- High school diploma or GED - Knowledgeable of California and Federal laws - Neat appearance - Good driving record - Clean criminal background and drug test - California driver’s Class A license – 3 years of experience - Teaching experience preferred but not required
