RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE , Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL)-AgeLab , to conduct volunteer recruitment and maintain a volunteer database in support of human subject experimentation. Will keep the AgeLab's research studies organized, on track, and moving forward, while creating an exceptional experience for its multigenerational volunteers. The role is administrative in nature, but will support senior research staff in projects related to vehicle technology, transportation, and aging. May also assist with collecting data in laboratory, simulation, field, and naturalistic experiments and/or assisting with data coding and other activities necessary to support laboratory events and reporting requirements. Responsibilities include developing and implementing an ongoing advertisement plan for recruiting new study participants; recruiting and scheduling volunteers for multiple studies; prescreening, responding to, and scheduling volunteers; documenting subjects who reschedule/cancel/how up/do not show up for their scheduled appointments; maintaining the volunteer database and paper and electronic records; and performing other duties as requested.
REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent; experience in some aspect of customer service, recruitment, volunteer coordination, administrative assistance, or similar activity; exceptional attention to detail; strong time-management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; team orientation; ability to handle multiple priorities from multiple sources, perform accurately under time pressures and frequent interruptions, quickly learn new software programs/interfaces, and troubleshoot minor technical problems; comfort using previously collected data to estimate timelines for new projects; and experience using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, human resources, psychology, social science, or related field preferred. Knowledge of Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Dropbox; a valid, current, U.S. driver's license; experience managing multiple schedules; and a notary public are also preferred. Job #17457-3
