Mission: Produce videos and photography that support Multnomah University's communications and branding strategies.
Videography 60% of time Objective: Illustrate and reinforce Multnomah University's brand identity by providing high-quality videos for use in a wide array of communications, including print and web.
Film and record audio and video b-roll, principal shooting, interviews, and events as directed by Media Projects Manager to create videos for social media, website, and digital ad campaigns
Develop shot-lists and scout locations for videos
Assist in script development during the pre-production
Prepare all equipment, including props for video shoots and equipment rentals if needed
Assist in keeping shoots on schedule and in compliance with public permissions
Responsible for all aesthetic management as well as technical considerations; this includes all lighting and camera operation
Coordinate talent for videos and shoots as needed in compliance with consent form strategy
Work with campus constituents and Media Projects Manager to find creative solutions in visual marketing
Cut and edit video and audio in editing software
Develop and create motion graphics and still graphics for videos when required utilizing AE
Gather music, voiceovers and sound effects
Create revisions based on client and director's input
Render video and audio for different delivery methods
Develop and maintain a well-organized library of assets
Attend Athletics, extracurricular events to capture student life and activities for a variety of videos
Photography 40% of time Objective: Illustrate and reinforce Multnomah University's brand identity by providing high-quality images for use in a wide array of communications, including print and web
Execute photo assignments requested and/or scheduled by the Media Projects Manager
Use a clear understanding of how to use photos to support Multnomah branding and marketing needs
Work with departments to generate photo ideas under the guidance of the Media Projects Manager
Develop and maintain a well-organized library of digital photos
Approve and review social media content from a visual identity and photography stance
Maintain video/photography equipment inventory list and coordinate maintenance on equipment
Supervise and provide coaching to student employees or future photography and video interns

Qualifications: Job-specific Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred
A strong working knowledge of digital cameras (Canon)
Experience creating online video content that draws an audience
Experience taking a wide variety of photos, including portraits, scenic shots and action shots
A strong working knowledge of digital video cameras as well as lighting and audio recording for studio and location productions
Experience and demonstrated knowledge in the creative use of photo and video production and editing software (Adobe Pr, Lr, Ps, Ae)
Experience producing photographs for print and web
Strong knowledge of videography and camera operations, including set-up and lighting and audio
Ability to transport, sets up, and operate various and potentially heavy production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production
Flexible schedule to accommodate for off-hours events and completing urgent or quick-turnaround projects on a short timeline. Willing to work in the evening and weekends for specific events
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Passionate about creating unique, engaging visual content
Experience or familiarity with drones and willing to be drone certified
Able to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
Repeat the same movements
Moderate physical activity, bending, kneeling, and moving equipment: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
Able to identify visual depth of fields and manage color correction of footage or photography
Able to fine tune audio levels according to environment
