Primary medication delivery Technicians, including Automated Dispensing Cabinet inventory and patient specific doses. Provides technician support under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. This includes: non-sterile medications to be dispensed, medication stock maintenance, record keeping and medication billing. This does not include stocking or preparing sterile medications in the IV or chemo rooms.
High School/GED Required
Minimum Work Experience
12 months of previous pharmacy experience required
hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications for position
Registration with the TN Board of Pharmacy required within 90 days of employment, successfully passing the PTCB certification for CPhT status required within first year of employment, active CPhT preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Basic computer and typing skills.

Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
