Schedule and provide routine and/or emergency repairs and maintenance of facilities, grounds, equipment, remodels and installations. Prioritize and schedule support services such as transporting materials/furnishings related to staffing changes, re-locations and expansion of facilities and training or event set ups.
Planning and Program Services:
Monitor Facility Repair tracking to ensure requests are appropriately handled and resolved in a timely manner.
Assess facility needs; evaluate and prioritize facility repair tracking.
Organize and maintain appropriate documentation for all facilities and maintenance jobs, projects, and equipment.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and completion of jobs.
Coordinate facility repairs and playground development projects in collaboration with partner site.
Support partner sites in obtaining estimates of the material and labor costs of maintenance projects.
Assist the child care partner sites in ensuring facilities/equipment are appropriately maintained; utilizing preventative maintenance system.
Collect information; participate in planning, upgrading and minor repairs to Easterseals facilities.
Acquire knowledge of federal, state and local safety and building code requirements related to Head Start/Early Head Start facilities including, but not restricted to, OSHA, and MSDS chemical inventory.
Coordinate moving office furniture, fixtures and equipment within and between sites to support staff changes, relocations, remodels and program expansion.
Schedule transportation and delivery of supplies to child care partner sites, storage units, Easterseals buildings, etc.
Maintain inventories of items at sites and at the storage areas, including but not limited to stoves/refrigerators and classroom furniture.
Transport and maintain inventory of files for archiving/ storage.
Conduct quarterly facility assessments to ensure safe environment for children, families, and staff.
Assist in creating and providing follow up documentation for facility action items.
Coordinate diaper/supply shipments and deliveries
Record Keeping, Reporting and Communication:
Assist team members, collectively ensure timely reporting and communication with partner sites on facility projects.
Facilitate and/or participate in regularly scheduled content area and site team meetings including safety committee meetings.
Submit monthly reports and tracking to the Safe Environments Manager on the status of all facility concerns and projects at the sites.
Travel to Easterseals and partner sites regularly and complete site verification forms.
Coordinate an ensure monthly communication with each site team about the status of facilities and safe environments information.
Assist in the development and implementation of a system to monitor facilities at all sites.
Implement reflective and relationship-based practices.

High School diploma or GED.
Three years of related work experience.
Knowledge of basic operations, tools, and terms used in building maintenance work.
Knowledge of plumbing, painting, and other light facility maintenance.
Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and building code requirements.
Valid driver’s license.
Able to work well with all levels of the organization, child care partner sites, other agencies and funding source personnel.
Able to manage multiple projects.
Well organized, highly detail oriented and accuracy driven.
Ability to lift objects weighing 75 pounds.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
