Business and Auxiliary Services is seeking a qualified Senior Sales Associate for the University Stores. This position will be split 50/50 between the Pitt Shop and The Team Store at the University of Pittsburgh's Petersen Events Center. This is a key holder position.
The incumbent will be responsible for opening/closing the stores. Other duties include using the cash register, cash handling, basic computer data entry and providing excellent customer service. Employee will receive, stock and merchandise product daily. Candidate is responsible for maintaining the sales floor. Position requires the ability to transport up to (50) pounds and spend many hours moving about the store. Participation in off-site events, Saturday, Sunday, Holiday and overtime hours will be required as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Business and Auxiliary Services consists of Housing, Dining Services, Panther Central, the University Stores, Parking, Transportation and Services, and Conference Services. Our team is responsible for the maintenance, operations, and assignments for all on-campus residence halls and University-owned off-campus apartments. We oversee four retail locations on campus – The University Store on Fifth, The Pitt Shop, The Team Store at the Petersen Events Center, and Maggie & Stella's Cards & Gifts. We oversee the relationship with our contracted food service provider that operates 24 facilities and serves 30,000 customers each day. Finally, our team provides concierge-level customer service through Panther Central, our 24/7 ID Center on campus, and our Conference Services team. Behind the scenes, our team manages a variety of different areas within the Department such as Communications, Business Systems, Financial Operations, Human Resources, and Data Analysis in order to best serve our customers.
