Performs preventative maintenance and routine maintenance on buildings and equipment in assigned area. Pressure washes outside areas including buildings, sidewalks and windows. Assist with initial security check of building upon arrival. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Equipment/Building Maintenance: Repairs and performs preventative maintenance on custodial equipment, including manual and motorized equipment and all other non-motorized equipment of the assigned building/area. Performs minor building maintenance repairs. Replaces smoke detector batteries, blinds, fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs in assigned areas. Operates a wide variety of equipment.
30% - Essential - Litter and Trash Removal: Patrols campus for litter removal. Empties trash receptacles around campus on an assigned route.
30% - Essential - Housekeeping: Pressure washes outside areas including buildings, sidewalks and windows. Assist with initial security check of building upon arrival. Recognized and reports hazardous materials and chemicals. Extracts water from assigned areas using extractor machines.
10% - Essential - On-Call Support: Responds to emergency, weekend, and snow callbacks. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work that is directly related to the area of employment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
