SGA Youth and Family Services (SGA), through collaboration with Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL), provides case management, counseling and crisis intervention services for fourteen AUSL lead schools within the Chicagoland area. The employee services five of the fourteen schools. SCOPES staff utilizes resources and clinical training to further promote social emotional learning with in AUSL lead schools. Additionally, through training and supervision, SCOPES staff focus on providing an enriching learning experience to each master’s level intern.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Provides individual, family and group therapy, as well as case management, advocacy and referral/linkage to all clients.
Provides assessment, treatment planning, advocacy, crisis intervention, and referral/linkage services.
Provides group counseling services using prescribed group curricula (i.e. Aggression Replacement Therapy, Steps to Respect, CBITS, and Girl’s Circle/Boy’s Council) when applicable.
Provides time limited individual counseling with emphasis on skill building and problem resolution.
Manages all agency expectations for case recording, statistical, and other documentation on a timely basis.
