The County Agent is a member of the Extension staff of Clemson University. The agent is responsible for working cooperatively with other county and state staff to plan, implement, maintain and evaluate Extension education programs for county, region, and state adult and/or youth clientele.
The Extension Agent position will be housed in Lexington County Extension Office. The candidate chosen to fill this position will be responsible for commercial horticulture in Lexington County and surrounding area as needed. Candidates should be willing to work flexible schedules.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant major is required.
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises Work of Others - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions. Acts as Lead - Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation. No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
