As our Director of Sales you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of the business. Some of your responsibilities will include driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration across multiple channels. Based in Carlsbad, CA you will also be responsibilities for developing and managing a highly successful and talented sales workforce. You will also be an innovative, entrepreneurial, results-oriented, self-starter who is prepared to own, define, develop and execute a plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets.
You will also have a proven history accomplishing the following:
Ensuring optimal sales performance through training, mentorship and motivation, creating a culture that clearly understands the mission of the company.
Developing and prescribing metrics-driven accountability and techniques to provide the basis for management decisions and controls
Developing customer obsessed plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
Defining sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
Leading sales workforce compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
Managing detailed and accurate sales forecasting
Monitoring customer, market, and competitor activity and providing feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
Managing key customer relationships and participating in closing strategic opportunities--travelling for in-person meetings with customers and partners whenever necessary
Maintaining deep positive relationships at senior levels externally and internally; being viewed by industry professionals as an accomplished and respected leader
Using your intellect and horsepower to solve complex problems inherent in closing our deals
Skills and Abilities
In order to be successful here, you will also need to be skilled in these areas:
Monitoring and evaluating individual sales staff progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance goals and objectives
Using both traditional and bleeding edge sales techniques and processes; able to assemble this knowledge into a cohesive model that is right for our company and our markets
Solving internal problems in a non-confrontational manner, creating energy and opportunity for those around you to succeed individually and gain credit for empowering sales
Delivering great revenue generation and retention results
Building go-to-market strategies and corporate sales plans
Using strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Demonstrating strong business acumen and consultative selling techniques
To be considered, you will have the following basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related discipline
At least a ten-year track record in building and leading high-performing sales organizations in the transportation industry
Demonstrated background using various CRM tools to manage the sales process, specifically Salesforce
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
To be at the top of our list, you will also have the following preferred qualifications:
Experience selling in a freight factoring environment
Bilingual speaker (English/Spanish)
