Performs preventative maintenance and routine maintenance of custodial equipment and motor vehicles in assigned area. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Repairs and performs preventative maintenance on custodial equipment, including manual and motorized equipment and all other non-motorized equipment of the assigned building/area. Performs preventative maintenance and minor building maintenance repairs.
10% - Essential - VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles, golf carts an Polaris vehicle.
10% - Essential - EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT: Replaces smoke detector batteries, blinds, fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs in assigned areas.
10% - Essential - HOUSEKEEPING: Pressure washes outside areas including buildings, sidewalks and windows. Assist with initial security check of building upon arrival. Recognized and reports hazardous materials and chemicals. Maintains floors by waxing, buffing, and dry and wet stripping, utilizing the buffer machine, wet-and-dry vacuum, carpet shampooing and roto washer. Extracts water from floors and carpet areas using carpet wet-and-dry vacuums and carpet shampooer and extractor machines.
10% - Essential - ON-CALL SUPPORT: Responds to emergency, weekend, and snow callbacks. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
