REPORTS TO: Production Director and Festival Stage Manager
Designed to introduce all facets of production across performance platforms, this program includes familiarizing Interns with the Festival’s operating procedures, advancing concerts and events, developing rapport with collaborators as well as providing support to Staff in all Festival activities. This role is an essential member of Production Team. NOTE: This is not a design internship.
Theatrical/Production experience, basic knowledge of orchestral layouts & staging, ability to interact effectively with other team members with a variety of personalities, attention to detail and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments is desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is required. Must be over 21. Most important, however, is an interest in growing your skill set and having a stellar attitude!
Assist in setting up and breaking down rehearsals, performances and events inside and outside of the Riverwalk Center (RWC). This includes providing the best possible working atmosphere for the musicians.
Operate technical equipment during events, rehearsals and performances
Drive large vehicles to transport equipment to off-site events and rehearsals related to the Festival
Work flexible hours to be determined by the Stage Manager that include normal business hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
Undertake special assignments and projects as directed - including assisting with scheduling, archiving Festival procedure, coordinating needs for Blue River Series and Festival events, rehearsals and concerts
Learn, follow and enforce all Festival and RWC rules and regulations with regard to safety and equipment
Attend weekly operations meetings
Report to all work calls at the scheduled time. Please understand that transportation is not provided.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO BE ENHANCED AND DEVELOPED DURING INTERNSHIP:
Instruction in the areas of basic stage lighting, audio and video projection
Familiarize candidate with Orchestral set up & operations as well as personnel needs
Introduce candidate to the Non Profit Organizational structure
PHYSICAL AND WORKING DEMANDS:
The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to loud. The job will occasionally require Intern to lift, carry, move or push up to 50 pounds. A valid driver’s license and the ability to function at the 9,600 ft. elevation of Breckenridge is required. Temperature levels may include hot, cold and mild for indoor and outdoor events.

Interns will be provided fully furnished resort housing for the duration of the internship, as well as a weekly grocery stipend, college credit and invaluable hands-on professional job experience.
