Responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance and cleaning of assigned work site(s) to ensure compliance with all agency/ programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies;
Performs daily cleaning duties, including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning walls, windows, restrooms, emptying and cleaning trash containers, when needed;
Performs routine and minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs to Agency building(s);
May perform major cleaning projects, including but not limited to: burnishing floors, stripping and waxing floors, and carpet cleaning;
Handles work orders in a timely, efficient, and safe manner;
Ensures all rooms and/or main areas are ready for daily use, meetings, or special events;
Moves furniture and transports Agency goods, including donations, as needed;
Assists with the seasonal maintenance of the premises, including: snow and ice removal, spreading of salt when needed on all pavements, and the maintenance and grounds keeping of all landscape areas;
Responsible for handling and/or coordinating services to resolve any maintenance-related emergencies, as needed.
Preferred Requirements: High School diploma. Five plus years or janitorial/facilities related experience.
Minimum Requirements: GED. Three years of janitorial or facilities-related experience and one to two years of supervisory experience.
Other Requirements: Driver’s license and reliable transportation. Agency – specified automobile insurance.
