As a member of a fast-paced, customer service oriented Program Team, the Program Assistant works collaboratively with members of the Professional Education Admissions, Marketing, Programming, and Academic teams to successfully deliver professional education programs products, and services. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Program Operations.
Responsible for building, customizing, maintaining, and providing customer support for online courses and MLAs that are offered through the Professional Education office. Supports programs from registration to closing, ensuring an outstanding participant experience. Works to anticipate participants' logistical and technical needs and responds to both participant and staff inquiries and by email and telephone. Supports online webinars, as well as webinars for in-person and blended programs. Responsible for managing online program development, maintenance, and delivery timelines; the coordination, development, and dissemination of program materials; organizing and confirming logistical details, and coordinating other program resources. Assists with other projects and work as necessary. May delegate work to interns, working collaboratively with members of PPE to onboard, train, and support the full team while offering guidance as necessary and ensuring satisfactory completion of assigned tasks.
Working alongside a Program Coordinator, may support residential programs. Responsible for development and dissemination of program materials, organizing and confirming logistical details such as program space and participant transportation, and coordinating other program resources. Populates websites with academic and logistical content for assigned programs and online courses. Coordinates and oversees some special events. Staffs programs from registration to closing, actively supporting participants on-site.
This position is a term appointment for one year from the date of hire with a possibility of extension.

College background or 2+ years working in a professional environment; strong written and verbal communication skills; related program/project/event coordination experience; experience using MS Office, specifically basic Excel, Word (including mail merge), and PowerPoint. Must be able to work overtime hours in the mornings, evenings and on weekends as required for courses or residential program delivery, predominately during the summer. Due to our rigorous program schedule, we are generally not able to approve planned time off during our busy operational period from May to mid-August. Must have the physical ability to lift and move materials and furniture, up to 20 lbs.
