Assists in the operations of Dr. Pratt and Dr. Long's laboratory in the Department of Animal & Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University.
40% - Essential - Analysis: Analysis of hormone concentrations using both colorimetric and Radio-immune assay procedures, along with general molecular biology procedures will be expected.
30% - Essential - Laboratory Management: Primary responsibility is to manage the laboratories including operation and maintenance of equipment, and reporting of results.
20% - Essential - Inventory: Maintains chemical, radiation, and biological safety protocols, inventory, and ordering.
10% - Essential - Reporting: Developing study protocols, data reporting, and progress reports.
A high school diploma and work experience in a research laboratory setting. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Work experience in a research laboratory setting. Preferred: One year equivalent laboratory experience on research projects for BS degree or a MS degree.
