Location Brackett Hall 320 Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular
Performs professional duties related to the Calhoun Honors College (CHC), focused primarily on advising high-performing and high-potential college students on their academic programs, graduate school, career goals, and other matters; assists with the College's recruitment efforts and initiatives. Directs the Honors Ambassador Program, and coordinates events for incoming and prospective students. Serves as a representative of CHC to various constituencies, including alumni, parents, prospective students, various campus committees and boards, high schools/guidance counselors, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
ADVISING 40% - Essential Meets regularly with Honors students in one-on-one advising sessions. Works with CHC colleagues to develop advising-related programs, protocols, and strategies. Reaches out to at-risk Honors students. Provides information sessions on matters of interest to Honors students, including (for example) study skills, success strategies, graduate school opportunities, etc.
RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES 40% - Essential In partnership with the Director of Advising and Recruitment: develops, implements, and leads recruitment efforts and initiatives within the CHC. Oversees the Honors Ambassador Program and directly supervise the Student Coordinator of the Ambassador Program. Manages the scheduling of prospective student visits. Assists with coordinating incoming and prospective student and family events, including prospective student receptions and honors orientation dinners.
ADMISSIONS/SELECTION 20% - Essential Assists in the admission and selection process by reviewing and evaluating student Honors applications.
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

Occassional overnight travel.
Master's Degree in student services or related field.
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 05; The salary range for this position is $38,000 - $42,000
