CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND ALUMNI RELATIONS OFFICER, SCM Center for Transportation and Logistics (CTL), to join the small team that runs the SCM (Supply Chain Management) master's degree program (SCMr, SCMb). Will develop and execute recruiting and placement activities for current SCM students and alumni, design and execute group-based career development strategies and programs, provide individual customized career counseling, and manage and strengthen all aspects of SCM and Global SCALE alumni programs. Responsibilities include developing outreach plan to leading-edge companies to attract them to the SCM program; liaising with recruiting companies to place students and assist recent alumni in landing jobs; working with corporate partners to coach them on successful recruiting techniques; arranging and overseeing recruiting activities by corporate partners to ensure their success and continued support; developing courses for professional career development, e.g., resume writing, interviewing, social media use, networking, etc.; small group and one-on-one personal career counseling; developing regular communications with alumni to keep them engaged; establishing/maintaining a class liaison for each alumni class and involving them in events; arranging for key alumni to participate in panel discussions/events/etc.; facilitating alumni interactions with other alumni/students/prospective students; and performing other duties as requested.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree (master's preferred); five years' career services, corporate recruiting, job placement, or related experience; experience training or conducting workshops; proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience organizing/managing events; meticulous attention to detail; excellent organizational, multitasking, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to write first draft of communiques for the director; and discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues. Experience with the following preferred: using MBTI, TK, and 360 assessment tools; assisting/advising students; good listening skills; and familiarity with GradLeaders software. Job #15174-P
Will work occasional evenings to entertain recruiting companies. Will also travel to meet with alumni and join the annual class trek (internationally) for one week in January.
